Words, images, color, textures, materials: all simple tools. When used well (creatively? sparingly? repeatedly?), they have tremendous power to help people see… feel… think… understand. I love the challenge of discovering new ways to build with these blocks and tell important stories, finding ways to connect people with great causes and experiences.
I enjoy wearing many different hats, and I do it well—ideally getting my hands dirty along the way. My best work derives from a holistic view of the challenge at hand, and a careful blend of strong writing skills, engaging design, thoughtful delivery, and a good sense of humor.
I’ve worked alongside CEOs, elected officials, previously incarcerated teens, and everyone in between. I’m confident working with them all, and humble enough to know that there’s always much more to learn.
I draw inspiration from time spent outdoors—from my hometown of Santa Fe, to my current home in Boston, and many stops between/beyond: New Zealand, Denmark, Thailand, and more. Nature’s infinite palette, intricate patterns, mesmerizing textures, and myriad phenomena are the ultimate experiential design. Oh, and art! Bearing witness to brilliant minds at work—musicians, sculptors, poets, painters—feeds my soul, and fuels my own creativity. I’m always eager for new adventures and collaborations.
When I’m not working, I hope to be out riding bikes, tinkering in the garage, plotting an upcoming adventure with my wife, or playing soccer with my kids.
