Outdoor engagement carts

experiential, graphic design, signage

I designed a pair of activity carts and a “what’s growing?” station to display seasonal plant cuttings at Stevens-Coolidge House and gardens. Looking at other examples of carts for this purpose, I worked with programming staff to figure out what kinds of activities they’d like to host at these carts, and then proposed various tools and features that would help make that happen, while being flexible enough for other uses, too. I designed the graphics to coordinate with The Trustees brand and site signage, and worked with the fabricator to ensure that the materials and other aspects would be highly functional, durable outdoors, and eye-catching in order to attract visitors. This project required that I provide a 3D Sketchup rendering in order to pitch the concept to internal stakeholders, and to assist the fabricator with their shop drawings.
